menu items not showing up

When i was running vista 32 bit things showed up as they did in XP, like when i installed winrar, i'd have all the "extract here" and "Add to archive" options in the Right Click menu. but now, i am running 64-bit vista and no options are added to the right click menu for winzip, winrar, or daemon tools. does anyone know how to fix this or how i might add them manually?

Re: menu items not showing up

You need to change options within the application to allow explorer enhancements.

This applies to Winzip and Winrar. Don't know about Daemon Tools.

Re: menu items not showing up

Well, i looked at the options and the explorer enhancements were already enabled. which reminded me that i clicked something to add shell options or what not when installing winrar. i tried disabling then re-enabling them but it didnt work.

Re: menu items not showing up

That should work. It shows up in the context menu of both files and folders:

The registry entries are:

Re: menu items not showing up

I have 32 bit. Do you have the CLSID:

Also make sure "C:\Program Files\WinZip\WZSHLSTB.DLL" exists.

Re: menu items not showing up

When you installed Winzip you put the .dll in C:\Program Files (x86)\WinZip. So the registry entry has to point there. That definitely would be the problem. Also the Winzip entry in respose four has to point to the E0d79 CLSID. Where does yours point now?

Re: menu items not showing up

You really should do this through a reinstall of Winzip. If that will work.

Re: menu items not showing up

do you think that using an old version of winzip made pre vista 64bit would cause it to not put regitries in the correct location?

Re: menu items not showing up

According to this Winrar is only compatible with 32 bit versions of Windows. Also check this out.
