Getting Rid of Intel ViiV
When I got my new desktop with Vista 32bit it came with Intel ViiV which sets up a media center using your computer.
The problem is, I found out that Windows Media Player (which also comes with Windows) does the same thing and actually does it better than ViiV (for what I need). It doesn't compress things like I've found ViiV to do, and stays constantly synced with everything that's added to my computer whearas with ViiV I'd have to keep updating. Basically what I'm saying is that ViiV has become redundant for me and I don't need it anymore. Ever since I started up ViiV though, I haven't found a way to permanently shut down the media center it's created. I have to go into settings and stop it every time I start Windows. Furthermore there has been no description on how to uninstall it or at least permanently shut it down. I've been all over the options menu and there seems to be no way to make it stop sharing permanently. |
