Network and Sharing Center Slow?
Just another little quirk I'm seeing with Windows Vista(Home Premium). I have Wifi connection on my laptop and down in the right hand corner there is usually a little connection with the globe. However, for the first minute or so it shows as a red X over the connection, however; the internet works just fine. But the connection is almost unresponsive, I can't connect to another network or bring up the Network and Sharing Center I've noticed it is just with the wireless connection, when I hard wire it it shows up instantly. I have seen several threads on the Internet about this problem, and I would post them but I can't, I havent posted enough :-(. I know there is a fix involving adding the Administrator to something, which I've already dont but nothing yet. I also tried turning off Windows Defender, but that didnt help either. I have all the latest updates and I am downloading Vista SP1 right now. but I'm sure someone else has have to have seen this before. I am using a clean install of vista. Any thoughts?
