Can't open any folder. Vista Home Premium..

Hey guys, I recently formatted my laptop with Vista Home Premium, which I had before only it was crap loaded. When I formatted after about 2 days I stopped being able to do... anything. I can open .exe's and stuff, but as soon as I try to open something like My Computer - Or Documents, or anything like that. It closes and my taskbar and desktop icons dissappear. So pretty much explorer just ends. Im just wondering if this is some sort of virus or something because I now have Avast! and that located and deleted some viruses but the problem is still there.

If anyone has any suggestions, like good spyware or antivirus programs are, or have heard of this happenin before could you let me know. Thanks.

PS - I can't format again because my Vista CD has reached it max installs.

Hello Carnophage

If you had a virus it sounds like there might still be problems related to it in the registry

I think you should post a HijackThis log. The experts on the forum there will clean it all up for you
