Re: Problem replacing system32 file
K, here are my problems, :D
when i tried the "net user administrator /active:yes" line, it didn't work. To get into this command line, i clicked the start menu, then typed "cmd", then enter. is that ok? then, when i tried "Right click on the folder and run as administartor" It didn't have an option to do so. THEN,when i tried "/f filepath (takeown /f c:\windows\system32\Bubbles.scr)." the cmd line said "the current logged on user does not have ownership priveleges on the file (or folder) "G:\windows\system32". when i tried "Now input icacls filepath /grant yourusername:f " it said access is denied. keep in mind, i did try out the unlocker, nothing worked. The unlocker thing showed up in the menu, i tried it, but the file wouldn't replace the file i wanted. also remember, i am the only one using this computer. I am using a fresh copy of windows vista home basic. Please help. thanks again. |
