Is this normal? Network without a network?

When I go into my network and sharing page it show a map of the internet going to a gateway then to the PC. Is this normal for a PC that's not on a netwrok?

I recently tried to hook up a network but then gave up. When I try to disable the network I loose internet access.

How do I get it back to normal. Internet to PC........

more than likely, your gateway would be your dsl modem. Maybe you have a modem with a built in router?
