hey guys GUD NEWS....VISTA SERVICE PACK 1 HAS BEEN RELASED FOR PUBLIC....i jus got SERVICE PACK 1 FROM MY WINDOWS UPDATE.....JUS GO TO CHECK UPDATES AND SERVICE PACK 1 WILL BE AVAILABE...I GOT SERVICE PACK SIZE 65.6MB....maybe others WILL BE DIFFERENT SO ENJOY

Nothing yet here. A Windows Updates check on 5 different Vista systems @ 20:33 EDT (GMT -4) shows a Windows Defender update, but nothing else.

wats the diffrence between windows update service pack and stand alone service pack from MS website? any diffrent cuz the one i downloaded is around 65 mb and MS websites shows 450mb?.....

and plus mah laptops speed and performance is daramatically increased rite after i installed VISTA SP1...i can see things opening very fast.....i think its time for REAL VISTA NOW....

vista now have CHANGED DEFRAG OPTIONS...vista nows gives u option wat volum to defrag.....so far which i found new in SP1 :D

I just installed the SP1 to my Vista Home Premium today and to be honest with you, I have yet to see a change in anything.. My system is still running the same as it was before, flawless.. I guess I have been one of the lucky few that haven't had a major problem *lol*

Now that I've said that, I'll get slammed somehow *lmao*

Yes it wasnt available to everyone last night, is now though (downloading now). I will let you know how i go. Like Draxxis, i too haven't had any issues, and i don't expect too much performance increase, but it would be nice.

I installed it on one vista machine last nite . . easy install, If you dual boot, you will need to babysit it thru the update . . it restarted three times.

Seems more nimble, but I have no benchmarks to back that up . . just an observation. Don't see much that is different yet, bu so far, so good
