Re: Vista Service Pack 1 Released

i understand draxxis wat u meant......but as i m a computer software engineer and now i m specializing in Microsoft Windows....all i will say is that Vista is a great Operating system but obviously its new and not as stable as xp SP2 but i am seeing now that vista have imporoved many things in SP1 and ya to tell u the truth, to roll with vista u need a powerfull hardware bakup and ofcourse self optimizations....Vista is way stable in many things than XP if u see from my eyes.

Re: Vista Service Pack 1 Released

I don't mind Vista at all.. It took me a while to get used to it, but once I was, there hasn't been an issue for me (minus the whole Roxio thing for a while).. But then again, I started off using Vista with my new system.. If I would have tried it with my 7yr old system, I probably would have seen a major improvement with the SP1 upgrade.

Re: Vista Service Pack 1 Released

SP1 is running like a dream for me. Disk access and transfer times have improved dramatically. I have a fairly good system and things were far from sluggish before updating, but things are even sweeter now. The only downside I have seen so far is the extra bloat...which is the last thing Vista needed! Previously to installing SP1, I had about 9.5GBs of free space on my system drive, that's down to about 7GBs now. Small price to pay for a such improved performance though.
