Not sure if I'm in the right place but....

I have been having trouble with unraring large files over 2 gigs. I am using winrar 3.7 and I get packed data in crc r06 or r 09 is corrupt. I just used those as an example. If I try to open it again it usually will give me different numbers. I know the files are good they were compressed with winrar 3.7 and my friend can open the files on his pc and he is running winrar 3.7 with XP. He thinks it's either windows messing with the files or maybe my hard drive is showing early signs of death. I was able to get one folder open onetime after I ran chkdsk, but I haven't been able to since then. Oh if it helps these are large video files, I have over 150 hours of home video that I have been editing and piecing together.

If you're attempting to unpack them to a FAT32 data partition, that's probably a primary reason.

Re: Not sure if I'm in the right place but....

Okay I'm sorry I don't know what that is, what I usually do is just extract them to a temp folder on my desktop, and then work with them there or burn them to a dvd. I'm sorry I am a little over my head here.
