Vista killed my docs!

Hi, The other day my laptop died and i had no other option but to use the vista recovery disc.

This worked fine, but of course i'm back to square one, like it just came out the box.

Is there anyway, or any software that can recover my documents and photos etc?

I'm guessing that the system recovery basically reformatted my hard drive and i've no chance of getting my docs back (yeah i know, i should've backed them up).

I'm just hoping that maybe someone knows a way

Re: Vista killed my docs!

theres loads of different programs that will recover files just use goole to find which is best or free, problem is when recovering data from vista is that you tend to get loads of the same file as vista saves past doc so they can be restored back but at least your get them back.

Hello bravepills

It is definitely worth a shot at data recovery.

1. Don`t use your machine till you try the recovery.

2.Here are some good free programs to try

Undelete Plus

Pandora Recovery
