Screen Problems... PLEASE HELP!!!
This may or may not have already been posted im not sure (if it was could you provide me with a link so i can read that post) but i am having big time problems with my laptop screen. i have an hp dv2000 which i have been completely happy with up until this week.
all of a sudden the screen started going crazy. out of nowhere it will just freeze up and scramble into a rainbow of colors. It started when i was using my web cam one time and now it happens when im not even using it. there is nothing that i can figure out to do except to restart the whole thing everytime. Has anyone had this problem or can help me figure out how to fix this? Could it possibly be a virus or is it most likely a short or something. Also it is a new computer, i just got it this summer so is there any kind of limited warranty that hp has that will cover this thanks for the help!! |

Re: Screen Problems... PLEASE HELP!!!
For the warantee you will need to check the documentation that came with your PC most Laptops come with a 12 month warantee so if you bought it this summer it should still be covered
There are a few things that could cause this I would start of by looking at some simple things like the fans on your laptop are they full of dust in most laptops the hardware that stops them over heating are located right ontop of the graphics card so your screen is one of the first things that gets effected if it is over heating Try just cleaning any dust etc away from the fan and moving it to a more airy position If this doesnt work take it back to the store and get them to deal with it will be alot easier than checking the graphics card yourself (Thats if its still covered by warnatee ofc) |
