Post Itunes/vista Problem

downloaded ITUNES update but it messed up AVG. it cannot download updates etc and I think it is because VBSCRIPT is active in ITunes.

I ran ITUNES UPDATE AS ADMINISTRATOR

What can I do?

Do I need to disable scripts in AVG

My System

Re: Itunes/vista Problem

I too am running iTunes and AVG on my system, however (knock on wood), I haven't had a problem with it at all. What version of Vista are you running?? I am running the Home Premium edition.. Maybe when you downloaded iTunes something got messed up along the way to your computer.. That or maybe AVG had a problem with an update and didn't fully update and now it's messed up.. I'd look into re-downloading AVG (if you have the free edition like I do) and reinstalling it.

My System

Re: Itunes/vista Problem

Ouch on the Norton.. I wouldn't use that or McAfee ever again.. I've only had bad experiences with both of those programs.. Slowing down the system and using up way too much RAM.. Even though I do have 4GB of RAM, I still keep AVG because I have (knock on wood) yet to have a problem with it conflicting with any of my programs or the OS

Hi Denny,

This is Mike from the Norton Authorized Support Team. I just wanted to let you know that Norton AntiVirus and Norton Internet Security 2007 are compatible with Windows Vista.

If you have a valid subscription for either of these two products, click on the link below and download the latest updates to both the program files and definition files.

NOTE: If you install Norton, please first remove AVG and any other 3rd party antivirus applications, as you only want to have 1 running to avoid conflicts.

Norton Update Center

Thank you,
Mike
