burning a disk

hi all l would like to burn a file to a disk it is a avi file but it won't play on my cd player can anyone tell me what l should convert it to thanks

firstly an avi is a video file so unless you mean dvd player you wont get it to play unless you separate the audio and save it in another format. Secondly if you are using a dvd player you need to find out what formats it supports. Usually the support mpeg 2 but it depends on your dvd player. Look up the model number on google and find out the specs.

burning a disk

l converted the file to a mpg using digital media converter them burnt the file using roxio but when l try to play it on my dvd player it tells me invalid disk. l am using dvd+r

burning dvd

hi all l tried to burn a file to a dvd using roxio but when l tried to play it .it told me it was a invalid disk.l burnt it with windows dvd maker and it played but the sound was out of sync.l use digital media converter to change it to mpg format .thanks

it is a software issue so you post in the forumd dealing with your op.system
if it was a hardware issue it would be removable drives in hardware
i have put it in the correct forum here and merged your thread from gadgets
d/load the trial of santa and see if it fixes
