Re: Vista keep's shutting down for updates.

Hey I have resolved this issue recently. Is your system giving you the configuring updates window and restarting the system and coming back to the same 'configuring updates' message and restarting ? I dont have a complete fix for it, but do have work around. Do a system restore by booting through the Windows Vista dvd. repair my system option and system restore. Let me know if teh issue is taken care of .....

Re: Vista keep's shutting down for updates.

i couldn't get the system restore to work. so i just decided to reformat to factory settings. It's not that big of a deal for me to do this because i've only had the computer for a few weeks so i didn't have much to back up before i did it. Thanks for the help though. I really appreciate it. Hopefully i want have this problem again.

Thanks again
John
