What method are you using to turn the UAC off? And when doing so, does wExplorer die immediately?

Going to start
Clicking on User Admin Pict top right
Selecting turn user account on off
unchecking box
reboot as MS instruct to do

But in doing so some times IE stops and Window Explorer stops working

Has IE or WE crashed prior to the UAC disablement? If you turn it back on do the 2 still crash?

Are any other user logged on or programs running when you disable the UAC?

Do you know how to look at the Event Viewer?

Curiosity - Why do they want UAC off? Simply because of the UAC prompt?
Does the prompt come up often? Or is just 1x enough?!

After wading through all the MS support Doc

There is a patch to fix the IE shut down.

This I find happens when you do not remove the beta SP1 before installing the public just released SP1.

Guys thank for the help but it appears Im a we bit faster in finding the asnwer. But thanks anyway

No one wants the UAC on which in windows 7 will be less agressive as Ive read
