What method are you using to turn the UAC off? And when doing so, does wExplorer die immediately?

Re: Turning Off UAC is killing Explorer any one know why
Has IE or WE crashed prior to the UAC disablement? If you turn it back on do the 2 still crash?
Are any other user logged on or programs running when you disable the UAC? Do you know how to look at the Event Viewer? Curiosity - Why do they want UAC off? Simply because of the UAC prompt? Does the prompt come up often? Or is just 1x enough?!

Re: Turning Off UAC is killing Explorer any one know why
After wading through all the MS support Doc
There is a patch to fix the IE shut down. This I find happens when you do not remove the beta SP1 before installing the public just released SP1. Guys thank for the help but it appears Im a we bit faster in finding the asnwer. But thanks anyway No one wants the UAC on which in windows 7 will be less agressive as Ive read Last edited by readmetoo : 01-19-2008 at 09:01 PM. |
