Random Vista Crashes

i recently installed a new power supply(500w) and video card (ati radeon x300 se), and well, im running that on windows vista home premium, there's random crashes where either the monitor freezes or it would just reboot by itself. I unchecked the "restart on system failure" and now it just freezes, the whole thing stops, and the mouse and keyboard are interactive. I have a few theories, it could be that my computer overheats itself, it doesnt have any air circulation room or the proper space it needs to ventialte air, or it could be the ati driver that i installed, or the last one i think is that i could have a possible virus, any solutions or if you need more informatoin feel free to ask
