Re: Problem with Windows Update

Scan for viruses/malware/spyware/adware.

Only thing I can think of right now, I'll ask around and see if someone could be of more help than myself.

Re: Problem with Windows Update

Tell me then... why did you not do it since "I have this problem since I've reinstalled the Windows"? You have a corrupt OS installation. You might find a fix, but it will always be buggy from now on.

If you must have your installation until exams then

1. Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow.

2. Type the following command, and then press ENTER:
sfc /scannow

The sfc /scannow command scans all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with correct Microsoft versions.

You will then need to reinstall all updates.

Re: Problem with Windows Update

really funny :).. I've reinstalled the Windows and then I entered the Windows Update.. ALL GOOD! I could see the text.. I've clicked Check for updates ... and on the module was "Windows Update needs to update first" or something like that. I've clicked.. he downloaded and restarted.. After that again NO TEXT!

Re: Problem with Windows Update

You can run a "Repair Install" of Vista. It is more comprehensive than sfc.
