Moving from a Win98 machine to a Vista Machine
I have basically two questions.
1) does anyone know if Aloha Bob's PC Relocator Ultra can work with Vista? 2) Is anyone aware of anyproducts, preferably shareware or freeware that can migrate both data/settings and programs from Win98 to Vista Home Premium? Thanks |

Re: Moving from a Win98 machine to a Vista Machine
I don't imagine there are any software apps with that feature - any of them new enough to work with Vista would likely not bother with Win98. Data won't be hard to migrate, but I don't imagine Win98 programs would work the same on Vista... You will probably have to reinstall the programs - if they are compatible. (My CD burning software, for example, was compatible with XP but caused the PC to not boot when I tried to install it on Vista) Settings are probably going to be a lot different on Vista vs. Win98...
