Vista with surround sound

I bought a Creative labs surround sound system for my pc a few months back and it ran like a lovely lil beast in xp but when i got vista yesterday it only recognised my 2 speakers and subwoofer obviously i know all speakers work cos they were fine before i put it on, i set the controls on vista's sound and put it to 5.1 surround sound and yet when i tested it it just still came out of two speakers and my subwoofer. anyone know what i can do with this minor problem

Re: Vista with surround sound

Vista does not support true 7.1 or 5.1 surround sound and is not compatible with other media apps like Adobe. This set up is psuedo surround and not up to Dolbly of DTS specs.

I got rid of my Vista system and got a Mac which is supported better my most software apps and it makes for a very robust media system.
