Server 2003 Problem
I need help with Server 2003 and the local hard drive. Server 2003 does see the drive, but it does not know what it is. The icon is missing for the C:\ drive in My Computer.
When I try to open the C: HDD, the "File Association" window pops-up, asking which .exe I want to use to open the HDD. I have tried %SystemRoot%\explore.exe, but that is not the correct assocation. However, it will let me "temporarily" open C: in My Computer, but eventually it stops working. I have no clue as to what happened , just the fact that C: won't open. Oh yeah, it will open up in Windows Explorer, but not under My Computer. Anyone ever run into this before?

Why don't you try mapping it when it comes up when you do explorer.exe and see what happens when you reboot. The only other solution might be to write a batch file to when the server comes up after rebooting it sees the c:.
