Read-Only Conumdrum
Im running a Windows 2003 Server that has a folder
c:\program files\microsoft office servers" set to read-only. The tick and the box is greyed out. Now usually we RD into the machines to use, so i logged in as a Domain Admin and tried changing the attribute using explorer. Failed. I then went to the server and logged in as a Local admin and tried the same which failed again, then i tried unattribing via cmd promt, upon checking the folder again in explorer it still read only. Booted into safemode tried the above again to no avail. I read on these forums a regkey DWORD value fix, but even that didn't work. I really need to be able to access the folder/subfolders over the network and write to them also. Any help would be great. Cheers |
