[SOLVED] Win2003 explorer.exe restarts

Hi. Few days ago I got some virus or something. When I login in windows 2003 server, I can`t do anything, because explorer.exe restarts all time and show some explorer.exe error! On server is Panda AV 2008, but it not catch anything! Maybe someone have any suggestions?

I hope you have a backup of your data. Check your event log to see if there are error messages which may help you start troubleshooting in the right direction. With limited information from you it is going to be difficult to pin point the problem.

If this is a production server that gets used daily you will have to bring it down and try some virus scanning software through widnows PE etc. I usually have better luck removing viruses / spyware when booting from another boot disk.

Worst case scanario you may have to rebuild the server. Viruses and some spyware embed themselves so deep in the system that it is sometimes easier and faster to just rebuild the box. if you can provide us with more information we may be able to offer you another solution.

Problem solved like: put windows XP cd and choose windows upgrade, and its correct all files etc. I think. But anyway, maybe someone know how to recover or just copy explorer.exe if it`s broken, because this was this time when explorer.exe was broken, so maybe is much easies way how to recover explorer.exe?
