Re: low memory

your memory is because you have to many programs installed on your computer.

Free up memory instrructions:

uninstall useless programs, files, and folders start-my computer-add/remove programs

run disk clean up

Re: low memory

Hi ttaylor, welcome to TSF

You don't need to uninstall any programs or run Disk Cleanup, they will just free hard drive space, nothing to do with low memory.

Please post the exact error message. It could relate to RAM or virtual memory (swap file).

What program are you running that gives this error?

How much RAM do you have?

Go to Start > Control Panel > System > Advanced tab > Performance Settings button > Advanced tab > Virtual Memory Change button. What does it say for the Initial and Maximum sizes, and for Space Available?

Re: low memory

I would say that since it's a server OS, you're most likely leaving a user session logged in and between that and running applications you're running low on virtual memory. I'd try rebooting the server and then NOT running applications on it like a workstation. Just my $.02.
