Address Forwarding
Hey everyone,
My boss had a 3rd party company make a jobs website for us. Currently we already have a website setup as www.ourdomainname.com. She wants me to make www.jobs.ourdomainname.com forward external and internal users to the address that the 3rd party is hosting our job site at. Please help. Thank you for your time, Garrett |

Re: Address Forwarding
Hi,
If I understood your requirement correctly..you can achieve this as follows: > Go to control panel of www.ourdomainname.com > Create child domain as jobs > Set www record for newly created website to third party service provider. Thanks Aksh |

Re: Address Forwarding
Thanks for the reply. However, the problem with changing the www record is that my company's default website will no longer be www.ourdomainname.com. They will not be ok with changing that. I need to set it up so that jobs.ourdomainname.com will be the 3rd-party site, and then www.ourdomainname.com will be our default site. jobs.ourdomainname.com does not and should not have www in front of it.
Thank you for your time, Garrett Last edited by AGD : 06-09-2008 at 08:10 AM. |
