Exchange 550 relay not permitted

I have got an issue with a company who send to us getting "550 smtp relay not permitted" on some emails. We recieve most emails fine however some are getting returned back to them with the above error. We use MIMESWEEPER as our front end server and when checking our logs we have found that the ones that seem to be getting returned are from server.local address. We insist in our enviroment that we do a reverse lookup on the server and i was wondering if the .local address might be causing the problem. Can someone tell me if this is a problem at our end or theirs because of the interminent nature of the fault it is hard to troubleshoot? We use exchange 2003 and are recieving emails fine from everyone else, can someone please throw some light on the situation?

Many Thanks

Just by chance is the Company trying to send you mail using Godaddy as their email host?
