RDP audio troubles
We are trying to port some of our products over to terminal services and Citrix. We have a Windows dll that takes highly compressed voice audio files and converts them to 16 bit , 8 khz PCM. Using TS, the recovered audio is clipped and low level, cadence and pitch normal. When the file is played locally on the 2003 server, it sounds fine. When the file is downloaded and played at the workstation, it sounds fine.
I remember reading something about a compresssion setting for RDP in Server 2000, but no mention is made in Server 2003. As the audio sounds like bits have been messed with, compression could be a culprit. A sound card is necessary in the server, but only as a target for the RDP redirect. perplexed Thanks ! |
