Question Windows 2003 server and Trend anti-virus

Hi there,

I am having problems connecting my wireless laptop on XP Pro SP2 via my Wireless Netgear router to the Windows 2003 Server. It will not allow me to add the Laptop to the domain wirelessly because it says the "domain controller is not contactable". It will add fine if connected via a CAT 5 cable.

I have worked out that it seems to be my Trend Internet Security 2005 software that is stopping it being added to the domain when using a Wireless profile. Does anyone know anything about trend and what needs to be allowed in the wireless profile (personal firewall) to allow it on the domain?

thanks

Do you have the IP range that the wireless connection is giving out set up to have access to your domain?

My Wireless router is setup as the DHCP server not the Domain controller. The DC is on 192.168.0.2 (static) and the Netgear is on 192.168.0.1. Subnet 255.255.255.0 and the router is the gateway.

If connected via Cat 5 with the same settings its fine but my anti-virus seems to stop it when connecting wirelessly
