Roaming profile problems.
Hi, i have seen some tutorials on setting up roaming profiles and i have done all that it says.
The question i have is, when i create a new user how can i automaticly set up a defult profile so i dont have to go through that procedure everytime i add a user. I have a folder called Profiles on my server so i am linking the users to \\servername\Profiles\%username%. profiles is shared but i had to manualy create the folder for that username can i automate that aswell. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks very much Adam |

Folders and OUs are different. OU is an Organizational Unit. You would place users in there so you can link GPOs to it. When I setup a new user in a specific OU, I will take an exsisting user and copy his profile for the new user. This way he will have the same GPOs and he will be in the same groups.

Simply configure each user to have a home directory, then in your group policy, look under windows components (i think) for "Folder Redirection", and redirect all the folders to the user's home directory. It should make the folders automatically if that user has never logged on before.
