[SOLVED] Shared folder not shown

Hi There,
We are suffering a problem that we have a server win 2003.when we share a folder in that server .It will not shown through that server .i.e when we access it through \\ip address . Whereas shared folder are visible & accessable throgh any other computers.
Can anybody help us regarding this.

Hello prasun and welcome to TSF!.....verify in your server that folders are not hidden. I would run Malwarebytes or your Anti-Virus software and see if it detects something.

thanks for reply. As per previous mail it was clear that no files or folder are hidden,because it was shown from other terminals. Problem arise when we try to access it through that server where the files actually belongs.
We have cleaned the server through Macfee antivirus.As this server is very important to us so we want to know is there any other way without formatting.

have you in the past been able to see the folder? or this a new folder you have made?

In past we are able to seen the shared folder .Now we neither able see old shared file nor able to see new shared files/Folder.

Hi prasun....

Do you have any other servers maybe that you can transfer the files to? See if this can be another option. You've said that you've cleaned out this server with a McAfee, did it detect some virus? Maybe it's not totally cleaned out. Did you run Malwarebytes as well?

If you boot the server in to safe mode are you able to see the files? If you are, perhaps there's a virus/spyware that's affecting the Explorer portion of the server.
