OS: MS SBS2003 SP2

MS SBS2003 SP2 won't complete booting. Starts OK, goes through the hardware checks then the SBS2003 screen comes up with the "working" bar circulating to the right for 20secs or so then the screen goes black & thats it - computer is locked up, only way out is to switch off. However, some components do load before screen goes black as server is able to be seen on the network but can't be accessed. Rgds, Ma Ki

Re: MS SBS2003 SP2 boot probs
Hi Ma Ki and welcome to TSF!
Have you done any hardware changes prior to this issue? You may try this and see if it helps. Restart the server, tap F8 and select Last Known Good Config. Also, any errors? Pls. post them here.

Re: MS SBS2003 SP2 boot probs
Thanks 2x,
The server is a HP ML 150G6. No new hardware had been added & server had been operational for a couple of weeks without issues before the problem showed up. MS updates was turned off but maybe HP has a backdoor to update their hardware stuff automatically? Prob turned out to be related to drivers for the Raid mirror drive, solution was on the HP site, nothing on MS related sites yet that we could find. Tks & Rgds, Ma Ki
