IIS website host header w/o anon access issue
Hello all,
I am fairly new to server debugging and am really hoping someone here can help me out. I have a win server 2003 box with IIS installed and it is part of a domain with several other web servers. On this server, I created a new test website on port 7777 and added a simple test html file to it. I browsed the file without issue. I then changed the properties of that site, unchecking anon access and also adding a host header (also using port 7777 and leaving the default header as well). If I browse by the host header name and port, I get a login window appear as expected but all local admin, domain admin and other credentials I throw at it get rejected. When I browse it by the IP and port it prompts and takes my credentials without issue. Any help on pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. |
