windows 2003 domain, adding another DNS server
hello, i'm installing a new 2003 server to take over file/print and domain services from our current server as the current server requires a rebuild due to several errors.
so the current server remains operational just now and i've setup the new server as a domain controller in the same domain. what i'm unsure about is how to configure DNS onto this new server build, because our current server is the primary DNS server for the domain but will be replaced when this new server is configured can anyone step me through the practicalities please of implementing this as i understand that one wrong move could cause major setback, and i need to do this as seemlessly as possible to the 50 users/DHCP enabled XP clients thanks a lot |

Quote:
You shd use your DC's Internal IP as your DNS. DHCP shd pick this up on all your client computers if configured correctly.
