Browser issue
I am having a problem with a File Server running Server 2003 R2 SP2. About every five days I keep getting browser errors (event ids 8021 and 8032). The error states it is unable to retrieve a list of servers from the browser master which is my domain controller.
When this error occurs, I cannot log into the domain and it sometimes has issues loading local profiles. Also I cannot ping or run ipconfig, the OS returns an error that the application failed to initialize. I try to restart the netlogon server and it doesn't start up (internal windows error). Both of my DCs are running DNS and WINS. I am not running multiple network cards (one is disabled). I do have a usb device that is hooked up via ethernet to a VM. If I reboot this server, all is well for about five days, then I get these browser errors again. I have tried MS recommendations here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/135404 but no luck. Any thoughts/ideas would be appreciated. Thank you |
