I am working for a client on a short term project for making the test server secure in the organization. The application was working fine prior to making the servers secure, for making it secure we removed “Authenticated users” group from security tab after that the application gives out an error (screen shot attached).

***Users from different groups listed have read and write access to the shared folders. They can create an *.exe file and execute tem (this has been tested)

We have 2 servers and one application, same application runs on test server and Production (prod.) server.



Names of server:
wapprib00007001 (test server)
wapprib00007002 (prod server)

Shared location where application is stored:
\\wapprib00007001\spoke1\test
\\wapprib00007002\spoke1\prod

The application runs fine only for following ID’s:
Jbsoft (local admin on 7001)
RemitTrip

Groups in test and prod shared location:
Administrators (full control)
Authenticated users (Modified rights)
Jbsoft (Modified rights)
Remittance_managers (CORP\Remittance_managers) (full control)
Remittance_managers (Wapprib00007002\remittance_managers) (Modified rights)
Remittance_users (Wapprib00007002\remittance_Users) (full control)
Remittance_users_corp (CORP\remittance_users) (Modified rights)
System (full control)

Error:
