Re: cd rom not working
some of the reasons due to which cd rom is stop working.
1.Bad or dirty CD. 2.Corrupt or bad drivers. 3.Corruption in Windows. 4.Computer Virus. 5.Bad CD-ROM drive or connected improperly. there are some solution for this query Make sure you've tested more than one CD in the disc drive, it is possible for one CD to be bad or dirty and not be read properly. If all CDs work but one or two fails, it is likely that CD is bad or dirty. clean the cd rom if it still showing errors than it is a bad disk may this sort ur problem suzzan |

Re: cd rom not working
Hello keith49<
you may try this: Right click My Computer => Properties => Hardware tab =>click on Device Manager and find the DVD/CD-rom drives, do you see a Yellow ! or not? Rt click on the CD driver, choose update or uninstall, you may restart your computer to install the CDrom driver by itself or, stay where you are, right click on the DVD/CD right click on it again and choose Scan for hardware changes and it shd scan the driver and re-install it for you. See if your CD rom works, if not, you'll probably have a bad CD rom and just need to be replaced. Pls. let me know.
