I need help with accessing a domain. Right now there are 3 servers in a domain. The only server than can see all the other servers and pc's in the domain is the domain controller. The other two servers cant. When logged into the other two servers, i can see the domain, but when i click on it I cant see whats in it...I get the error "(Domain name) is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource". I have ruled out a router issue by disconnecting the switch for the servers from the internet.
Please help anyway you can. Thanks! |

Re: Cannot access domain!!
Has this setup worked before? How long has it been setup? And lastly, on the DC, is the DNS service running correctly and are there any error messages in the event log?

Re: Cannot access domain!!
After more digging around...it seems that the culprit is one of the NIC's in the DC. When i disable NIC #2, everything works fine. So now i need to figure out if it is a bad NIC or just a setting in BIOS or somewhere else that is causing this.

Re: Cannot access domain!!
But if you disable the NIC and everything works, perhaps it's not the hardware, but a setting for the NIC. How is NIC2 configured? Is it connected to the same subnet or something like that?
