a few sbs server 2008 questions
i have a few. is anybody out here good with server 2008. it's actually sbs server 2008
i need help with dns and iis7 and exchange first dns, my domain is setup by sbs as domain.local even thou it was supposed to be domain.com. i know that this is best practice and should be done that way but it's a bit confusing to me. now i have a zone called domain.local and remote.domain.com. where do i set my resource records like my www. A record and MX record? do i even still need to do this? second iis7, the default web site points to the default.htm site which is companyweb, now i understand and thought that is only the internal site. i am running a website for external access as well and was finally able to change the call up priority for the homepage to index.htm, will this be enough for people outside of my LAN to access my website? what other changes do i need to make? exchange, how do i know if it works? i could send an email but i still have my old server running and think that it would pick up the mail call. thanks
