Server 2003 R2 works with wireless card, does not work with NIC
I have a weird issue where my server gets internet access fine if I'm using the wireless card, but if I try to use the onboard nic it won't. It says it is connected, i pull an IP address, i can ping the nic. When I ping Yahoo i normally get replies, but sometimes it times out. I'd say about 60-70% reply. When i ping the router, same thing as yahoo.
I was getting the "no adapter in proper state" message when i tried to do a release renew, but i netsh winsock reset, reboot, and now i can release/renew but the problem remains. I've tried static IP, Obtain automatically, nothing in WINS. The reason i want to get the NIC to work when the wireless is already working is because I have a VPN to another facility and I'm getting very inconsistent connections. I don't seem to have any problems at the local facility, but, you know, trying to troubleshoot.
