IP Resolution Order
Basically, our database boxes have two connection IPs, one is a 192 address and one is a 172 address. We have private software that stores the IP resolved from the hostname so they all can connect to each other. The trouble is, when we put in the 172 addresses a few of the database return that rather than the 192 address upon hostname lookup. My assumption is that it managed to be set as first in the resolution order. I looked up on Google how to fix this and unfortunately I couldn't find anything for 2003 in particular (just NT and 95/98 systems). Does anyone know how to check/change the resolution order?
