Widening dhcp scope

At present I Have win2k server with dhcp configure with scope.
Present IP range is 192.168.40.0 to 192.168.40 254 with subnet mask
255.255.255.0. Now I need to extend the scope of 254 connections. Please help me get this resolved. Some static IP's are also assigned in network to other devices e.g. attendance terminals ,UTM etc.Thanks in advance.

You can use subnet for this query.

change subnet from 255.255.255.0 to 255.255.252.0

then you can use ip numbers range from 192.168.40.1 to 192.168.43.254
