Characters do not display correctly
My company has a client which uses terminal server to run our software. After they execute one of the applications for a period of time, the display will be incorrect. Instead of displaying the data, other characters are displayed. However, the data will be saved to the database correctly. Also, if Print Screen is pressed to get a snap shot of the incorrect display, the Print Screen will display the correct characters. The Print Screen will not display the incorrect characters. In addition, one time when task manager was open while executing the applications, incorrect characters displayed in task manager. If they do not use terminal server, the problem does not occur.
---------------------------------- Below is what the client is using: Manufacturer: Dell Model: PowerEdge 2850 Processor: 4 x Intel Xeon 3.00GHz Memory: 4 GB OS: Windows Server 2003, SP 2.0 BIOS: A02 The video card is an ATI product. The Product Name is Radeo 7000m ---------------------------------- I am trying to determine if the problem is with terminal server or our application. Is this a known problem with terminal server? Does anyone know how I can diagnose this error? Thanks! |

Re: Characters do not display correctly
If you were to use TS to establish a session, would you get the same result? I'd start there. Could be that there is an issue with proper refreshing of the screen or something like that.

Re: Characters do not display correctly
Thanks! We are waiting to hear back from our client to see if they get the same result. Although, we did try adjusting the refresh rate, but that did not help.
