Admin Access Blocked
Hello,
I'm new to this forum but need some immediate help. I am a domain admin for a small network. We have a 2008 DC with XP machines. Recently I needed to access a users machine and could not access the C$. I tried to RDP into it and got access denied. I logged on locally as domain admin and under computer management check the users and groups and found only the persons account and administrators. I tried to add domain admins and got "access denied". The same for local security policy as well as shares and regedit. I've added the machine to a test GPO and have been tweaking that to no avail. I didn't see any unusual software installed when I was logged on locally but can't rule that out. Any ideas how I can undo the tweaking and possibly block the user from doing this again? |
