Samba share issues with Windows Server 2008 and SLES 10
I have a samba share running on my SLES 10 server, this server is attached to our domain which runs Windows Server 2003 as our PDC. Access to this share works perfectly for all devices, servers, PC's, etc... except for one. We run terminal servers for our users and our newest operates using Windows Server 2008. Though the users on this server are able to access the samba share, it will not do so if the hostname is used for reference.
To add to the complexity of this issue this only holds true for domain users. If I use a local or local admin account this share can be accessed via IP or hostname. I can provide more information on this issue if it's needed but if anyone has any ideas or possible resolutions I am all ears. |
