Sharpoint 2003 + Users that left and now are back
I am trying to get a user fixed he was with the company then left his AD account deleted but no clean up was done on SharePoint. So the user name sat there.
Well the user is back now, with a new AD account created, so I go to add him back to the site but find he is there so I delete the old account then try add the new I can’t. Error is “Can not add user because a user with that name already exists”. I know this probably something to do with user SID or something but I am fairly new to SharePoint is there any way to clean up all traces of this old user name with the wrong SID? Or any way to force a update with the new SID? Ohh yeah this is under sites the WSS side not Portal Side Any help be great thanks |
