Migrate data from windows NT to windows 2003.

HI, we are migrating an application from windows NT to windows 2003. As part of this migration we need to move around 70GB of data files (csv and exe files) from windows NT to 2003 server.

IS this migration a normal windows copy or should we use any tool to migrate the data from Windows NT 4.0 to Windows 2003 £" bit system.

Your help and suggestion is very much appreciated.

Re: Migrate data from windows NT to windows 2003.

I wouldn't use copy and paste via windows explorer if that is what your asking. Your going to need to install your new applications on the new server. You cant just drag and drop programs from folders to folders unless they are stand alone programs. I would suggest zipping up your files then transfer them via ftp. You can use filezilla to transfer from server to server. Make sure you test your files before you get rid of the other server. Hope that gives you some direction.
