Add workstations from different lans

Is it possible to add in a domain workstations from different Lans?

OS windows 2003

can you ping the remote lan by internal ip?
is rpc accessable?

i am just asking. i haven't tried this. if it's possible how that can be done?
and what is rpc?

rpc is how windows computers talk.

like i said, the two lans need to be conencted somhow

If the two lans are connected and port 445 is open then yes.
