relativaly computer illiterate...
I dont have a good deal of computer savy, so if you can help, please dummy it down for me. You'll have my undying gratitude.
I have an older DELL Dimension xps t450 that came with windows 98, and was later upgraded to 2000. I've managed to fubar the unit several times over the last 2 years, but have always been able to reboot the system from another copy of windows 2000, until now. My system became very unresponsive last week (have to mouse click 4-5 times for every change) so I decided to reboot from my copy of windows 2000. When I tried to do it, as usual, it said "press any key to boot from disk", so I did. It pauses for about a minute, then returns with this message: "file\i386\halacpi.dll code.7" and wont go any further. Any advice for the technically challenged lady? Thanks |
