Can not access windows streaming services from outside
Here is a weird problem that I am facing...At home, I have set up one of the computers as server that runs IIS and windows streaming services..Ports are configured properly so, I can access both services from other computers within the local network.
i.e, Web server: http://192.168.x.xxx:80/mysite/test.htm works Streaming server: mms://192.168.x.xxx:99/mystream/video1.wmv works Then, I went in and configured the router(linksys wrt54gl) to forward ip on those two ports. Now I can access site from outside network, but the streaming link doesnt. i.e, Web server: http://<ip address>:80/mysite/test.htm works Streaming server: mms://<ip address>:99/mystream/video1.wmv doesn't Anyone expirienced similar problems?...Please help -:) Last edited by ggeorgex; 03-02-2009 at 03:07 PM. |
