Need SCSI drivers for windows setup to see HDS
I have some old Dell PowerEdge 1950 servers that I am installing Windows Server 2003 on over the old OS. I boot from the CD hit enter to install windows, and It says I do not have any hard drives. Thinking this was because there was no SCSI controller driver I hit F6 to install a third party SCSI driver, but then setup asked for a driver disk in the A drive. This server does not have an floppy drive. It only has a DVD drive.
How can I get windows setup to detect my SCSI hard drives if my server does not have a floppy drive to install the drivers from? |

burn the drivers to another CD. then I think you can change the drive letter of where its asking.
other than that - go scrounge up a floppy drive for your server. I assume the motherboard has a floppy connector? |

Re: Need SCSI drivers for windows setup to see HDS
I typically carry a USB floppy drive, which can be purchased for $20 or so, when I go to client sites for just such occasions. It might be worth looking in to. Keep in mind that most newer BIOS's will support the USB floppy during the install process, but you'd want to check your BIOS before hand.
